Conclusion
Nikon had a cool idea with the Coolpix S70 by putting an OLED on it rather than the super common LCD. The OLED screen gives you a big advantage in bright light situations but it isn’t better when you measure the resolution. Something that is also unique about the Coolpix S70 is that it’s OLED screen is touch screen enabled.
The idea of using a touchscreen display isn’t that new but still new to most people who don’t pay attention to that sort of thing. The touchscreen on the Nikon is the only button on the back of the S70 which isn’t good because with the touchscreen we experienced iffy performance.
The Nikon Coolpix S70 features lots of fun things that are pretty appealing and would be cause to buy any other camera but the negatives just outweigh the positives. The S70 looks great and is slim and sleek but it’s just to expensive and the touchscreen technology on it isn’t exactly perfect and the resolution isn’t better than the other cameras in the price range of $250-300.
