I have that camera. ITS IS AWESOME!
It doesn’t have a dedicated HDMI socket but you can get an optional HDMI adaptor for the (only) port on the camera.
They have to mute when zooming otherwise it picks up the sounds of the zoom motor. At least you can zoom during video recording. Most compact cameras can’t.

don’t know about the samsung, but the kodak’s can do that like the v1233 or 1253
Samsung is ridiculous,it’s like in all their cameras mute when you zoom while shooting vids

How good is the video recording here?
I know of the HD and the basic points
but is the video recording really worth it?
For example, Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 has HD video along with 12x zoom, and image stabilization but I heard some complaints about its video recording
i just ordered the uk version it100 over the casio fc100 as you cannot zoom in hd video with canon but with sammy you can. also the sammy has a motion cature mode and best of all its small footprint. also it got best point and shoot award pics where better than fc100 cant wait to get it.
She forgot to mention that it has a HDMI output, it has a sticker saying HDMI on front of camera lol .

I think she did a pretty good job. Especially for being new.. I still like Sam better but overall I think she did a good job.. She flowed through it very well.
